Speaking on occasion of their second birthday, Kaymu Bangladesh Country Manager Quazi Zulquarnain congratulated the team on their efforts at making Kaymu Bangladesh successful over the last two years and looked forward to renewed success with a new and stylish site redesign.
‘Kaymu Bangladesh has become a major player in the Bangladesh e-commerce sector both in terms of visibility and giving the growing middle class access to the widest range of products at the best prices. We have acquired and trained up to 10,000 sellers and helped them build their business with training and helping showcase their products to a wide audience.’
He looked forward towards building capacity & diversifying consumer experience.
‘We are keen on introducing a new experience for our consumers’ time & again, so we moved extensively with large scale FMCGs and also ran a successful Black Friday campaign. We also redesigned our site & refined the shopping experience both in terms of aesthetics & efficiency.
On the future of Kaymu & the e-commerce industry he mentioned ‘We have barely scratched the surface in terms of potential of the sector. Once 3g becomes cheap, affordable and logistic networks catch up, we will be able to deliver on the dream of a truly digital Bangladesh. We are also doubling down and focusing on making Bangladesh one of our most attractive markets.’
