Direct wage is the wage which can be easily and conveniently identified. It refers to the wages paid to the workers who actually produce the goods. It is easy to find out direct worker in case of manual work, because he is the one who produces goods.
In case of a work done by machine the person who makes the input and collects the output and in whose account the output is credited for the purpose of payment of wages, is the direct worker.
