Dhaka, Bangladesh — August 30, 2026 — Tyger Media has announced the strategic acquisition of Borno AI, a Dhaka-based technology startup behind an AI-powered tutoring application designed for K–12 students.

Borno AI enables students to learn, practice and strengthen their understanding of academic subjects through personalized AI-powered experiences aligned with Bangladesh’s National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) curriculum.

The acquisition brings Borno AI under the sole management of Tyger Media, combining its education technology capabilities with Tyger Media’s existing strengths in media distribution, technology and content.

“Our strength has always been in connecting content with audiences. With Borno AI, we are bringing that capability into education. The focus is straightforward: make the platform better, reach more students and make useful educational information more accessible.”
— Ibnul Earfan, Managing Director, Tyger Media

Tyger Media operates a media wing that includes Nutshell Today and Cablgram, while its agency operations provide access to additional media platforms and distribution touchpoints. Its technology division also has expertise in building and operating digital platforms with a focus on improving operational efficiency and reducing the costs associated with content distribution.

Through the acquisition, Tyger Media will leverage these capabilities to expand Borno AI’s reach among students while strengthening how educational information and content are developed, packaged and delivered.

“Borno AI has built a focused product around helping students learn through AI and the NCTB curriculum. Our objective now is to build on that foundation. Tyger Media brings the distribution and technology capabilities needed to take Borno AI to a larger student audience while continuing to improve the product.”
— Anzum Mahmud Mostafa, CEO, Tyger Media

The acquisition also marks a new phase for Borno AI’s founder, Tamzid Rahman, who will move on to pursue his own projects. Borno AI will continue its operations under the sole management of Tyger Media.

“Building Borno AI has been about creating a useful learning tool for students in Bangladesh. I believe Tyger Media is well positioned to take the platform into its next phase, particularly through its distribution and technology capabilities. I look forward to pursuing my next projects while seeing Borno AI continue to develop.”
— Tamzid Rahman, Founder, Borno AI

Borno AI was founded by Tamzid Rahman on 1 July 2025. Following the acquisition, Tyger Media will assume full management and operational responsibility for Borno AI.
