What is Keyword for SEO and Business Promotion?


Whenever we go to a search engine and write down our required topic within two or three words these topic words are called Keywords. A Keyword is a word or phrase - typically a phrase of two or three words - which has been identified as one which potential customers use when they are searching the internet. 


A keyword is generally a word or phrase that is a topic of significance. Searchers use keywords as a way to identify and verbalize their problem or topic in which they're looking for more information. Businesses create content around relevant topics to their business which helps them rank and is the content in which searchers find.


If we want to point out so the points are:

  • A word that serves as a key to a code or cipher.

  • A significant or descriptive word.

  • A word used as a reference point for finding other words or information.

That is if you search for “Health Tips” and the results you will get are the results based on your keyword “Health Tips”. So health tips are keyword here.


There are two different types of keywords:

1. Broad keywords and

2. long-tail keywords.


Broad keywords are short words or phrases. Long-tail keywords tend to be longer words or phrases. Keywords are important for promotion and marketing for your products and services. Be attentive whenever you will choose your keywords. The 20 most expensive keywords categories with the highest search volume (i.e. the most used keywords) and highest costs per click, thereby netting Google the most money, are:

  2. Loans (example keywords include "consolidate graduate student loans" and "cheapest homeowner loans")

  3. Mortgage (example keywords include “refinanced second mortgages” and “remortgage with bad credit”)

  5. Credit (example keywords include “home equity line of credit” and “bad credit home buyer”)

  6. Lawyer ("personal  injury lawyer," "criminal defense lawyer)

  8. Degree ("criminal justice degrees online," "psychology bachelors degree online")
